My path to where I am today has been anything but straightforward, but it’s shaped me into the person I am now—someone who’s passionate about helping others find their inner beauty and peace.
My Journey: From Struggles to Success
I started my college journey at UTSA, full of hope and ambition, but life had other plans. After struggling academically and being on academic probation, I felt lost and unsure of my future. I spent a year at HCC, still searching for my purpose, until one day, I stumbled upon cosmetology classes. Something clicked, and I knew I had found my calling.
Enrolling in cosmetology school was a turning point for me, but it wasn’t without its challenges. I hesitated for months before taking the licensing exam, overthinking every step of the way. When I finally took the plunge, I realized I had studied the wrong material! But I didn’t let that stop me. After regrouping, I passed the exam and began working at a chain salon, where I gained invaluable experience.
But I wanted more. I dreamed of creating a space where I could truly connect with clients and help them feel their best, inside and out. That’s how Ethereal Oasis was born—a sanctuary where beauty meets spirituality.
My journey has been full of ups and downs, with many moments of doubt and imposter syndrome. Living with ADD and major depressive disorder has been challenging, often making it hard to stay focused and motivated. But I’ve learned to reframe my mind, keep pushing forward, and embrace the process.
Today, I’m proud of what I’ve built, and I’m grateful for every obstacle that’s made me stronger. Ethereal Oasis isn’t just a business; it’s a reflection of my journey and my passion for helping others.
